ELEGRP Straight Blade Extension Cord End Substitution Connector 
Extensive Use: Ideal for connecting with Generator Transfer Switches or Power Inlet Plug to deliver energy to your Residence, Business, Marine/Boat, or RV/Trailer.
Commonly utilized for Generators, welding machinery, Sump & Well Pumps.
Sufficient Safety: Each wire is inserted into an individual tube and tightened to prevent shorting or stray strands. Clear terminal cover permits a visual check of conductors and connections.
Easy to Use and Install: Ergonomically designed fluted body with circular indent is perfect for grasping, twisting, and pulling. The alignment of face and body simplifies assembly. Grip screws are positioned from the same side to facilitate tightening.
Installation Instructions:
Loosen the assembly screws in the face and separate the device. If necessary, loosen the cord clamp screws sufficiently to allow the cord to fit between the two clamp halves. Place the cord through the cord clamp and housing. Simply discard the minimum cord clamp if the cord diameter is 0.391″-0.655″. Strip the cord jacket between 7/8” and 1” from the end of the cord. Remove the insulation to expose between 3/8” and 1/2” of bare copper wire (refer to diagram 1a). Tightly twist the wire strands together. Trim any cord fillers, if present. Insert the bare copper wire into the wire clamp and tighten each terminal screw to 10-12 in-lbs. of torque. Ensure that the insulation is clear of the clamp; connect the HOT conductor to the BRASS terminal, the NEUTRAL conductor to the SILVER terminal, and the GROUND conductor to the GREEN hex screw. Reassemble the wired device body with the housing. Align the keyed housing with a key on the device’s body. Secure the assembly screws. Alternately tighten the cord clamp screws to 10-12 in-lbs. of torque. Make sure the cord clamp rests on the cord jacket and not over the conductors.
Note:
The built-in cord grip automatically adjusts for compatibility with 18-12 AWG.
