Latch Set Kit For Mailbox Installation Guide
1.Remove the previous or damaged mailbox latches. Clear the mounting holes of any dirt or debris caused by the broken/deteriorated latches.
2.Ensure the mailbox’s mounting holes are aligned with the new latches’ posts.
3.Start with installing the door latch. Insert it through the 2 holes on the mailbox’s door. Secure the latch from the backside of the mailbox door using the latch clip. Slide the latch clip onto the door latch’s posts until it audibly snaps into position.
4.Repeat Step 3 for the top latch.
5.Verify alignment of the door latch and top latch. Make adjustments as necessary.
These latches are simple to install and require no extra mounting hardware or tools! The best aspect of these latches? They will facilitate easy opening and closing of your mailbox. Your mail carrier will appreciate these latches!
Double-Check Compatibility
If your mailbox lacks latches (both door and top latches) with two holes, you might need to drill holes in the mailbox, which is not advised.
