Stormdry Masonry Protection Cream is a clear waterproof brick sealant that is compatible with masonry, brickwork, mortar, and concrete. When applied to the outer walls of a home, Stormdry Cream water sealant provides energy-saving advantages by waterproofing and sealing substrates, consequently reducing heat loss. It penetrates as deep as 12 mm into Fletton brick, preventing penetrating damp and safeguarding the internal structure of buildings.
This invisible waterproof silicone cream may be applied using a brush, roller, or airless spray method. Stormdry Cream cures to a natural finish and has been approved by the British Board of Agrément for a lifespan of 25 years after a single coat application.
In tests conducted independently by a well-respected energy-saving assessor (Alan Pither Ltd), a solid wall twin home treated with Stormdry Cream was shown to save between 8-10% on central heating expenses compared to an untreated residence. Additionally, independent evaluations conducted by the renowned testing lab Lucideon revealed that Stormdry Cream improves the thermal performance of brick walls, effectively creating a waterproof insulating effect. Lucideon confirmed that Stormdry brick sealer protects brick walls against frost and heat damage while also offering defense against light spalling and cracks when measured against unprotected brick walls. It can also function as a concrete sealant. Stormdry Cream fills the inner voids of brickwork rather than obstructing them, preserving their natural vapor permeability. After conducting their tests, Lucideon laboratory affirmed that Stormdry Cream allows for the transmission of water vapor while shielding against liquid water intrusion. Stormdry Cream is appropriate for a diverse array of substrates, inclusive of brick and unpainted stucco.
Stormdry Cream is ideal for use on buildings equipped with cavity wall and internal wall insulation as a clear exterior masonry finishing. In both scenarios, Stormdry Cream protects insulation from moisture to augment its thermal efficiency. For properties already suffering from penetrating dampness, Stormdry Cream halts any further moisture intrusion acting as a wall sealant. This facilitates the drying out of damp buildings and prevents future penetrating damp issues.
