Pentair Pentek Big Blue Heavy-Duty Filter Housings provide the flexibility to satisfy all your large-capacity filtration requirements, including high-flow and heavy-sediment uses. The oversized housing permits a higher cartridge capacity, diminishing the number of vessels needed for high flow-rate uses. Sumps come in both 10″ and 20″ lengths. The High-Flow Polypropylene (HFPP) cap is offered with 3/4″, 1″ or 1-1/2″ NPT entrance and exit ports. The 1-1/2″ internal aperture permits a larger volume of fluid to flow through the HFPP cap more swiftly. Big Blue Housings are suitable with a wide variety of chemicals and can be obtained with or without a pressure relief button. They accommodate a diverse range of 4-1/2″ diameter cartridges.

Pentair Pentek DGD Series Cartridges are produced from 100% pure polypropylene and are intended for use in Pentair Pentek Big Blue Filter Housings (and other heavy-duty filter housings). DGD Series Cartridges are engineered for cleanliness and do not introduce taste, odor or color to the liquid being filtered. Moreover, the polypropylene construction offers excellent chemical resistance and does not easily succumb to bacterial invasion. The advanced design of the DGD Series merges selective final filtration with suitable pre-filtration to achieve up to three times the dirt retention capacity of similarly sized sediment cartridges, surpassing even that of standard spun or string-wound cartridges. The increased diameter of the filter minimizes the particle load, allowing it to function at higher velocities. The effective filter depth expands to a full 233%. This enhanced depth delivers exceptionally high particulate removal efficiencies and additional loading capacity. The characteristics of the design and performance of the DGD Series Cartridges make them an excellent selection for all residential, rural, municipal, and commercial applications.
