This is the dual circuit three wire turn knob socket designed for a night light table lamp (not to be mistaken for a 3 way socket which only operates one light bulb that offers three different wattages). This socket manages a secondary satellite lamp socket equipped with a 7 watt candelabra styled night light bulb located at the lamp’s base (or any comparable configuration with an additional socket requiring control). Upon the first click, the night light bulb illuminates, on the second click, the main light bulb in the table lamp socket lights up, on the third click, both bulbs are illuminated simultaneously, and on the fourth click, the lamp turns off.
